Enabling the investment required to scale clean energy is about people. SHAWN SHAW
Founder
Camelot’s founder, Shawn Shaw, saw the pursuit of an ideal and just society as an aspirational, and necessary, goal. Inspired by the concept of an ideal society based on justice and equity, Shawn turned his attention to environmental causes at a young age and soon settled on clean energy as a fundamental right for all and a necessary step in providing people everywhere with access to education, medical care, economic opportunity, and other tools of wellbeing.
Shawn worked for many years in support of government entities such as US EPA and US DOE, as well as many state governments and energy agencies, to drive early renewable energy incentive programs. Using his engineering skills, Shawn focused on installation quality and safety to ensure that early adopters of renewable energy could enjoy their new solar, wind, and energy storage systems safely and with the expectation of good performance. As the market evolved, Shawn transitioned into support for many of the largest global banks, investors, and financiers and worked on projects ranging from distributed C&I solar portfolios to some of the largest energy storage systems (ESS) and hybrid projects in the world. Shawn has supported over 7GW of solar PV and 4GWh of ESS projects in the US, Europe, and Asia.
