Cecilia Gao

Project Manager

Cecilia Gao is a Project Manager at Camelot Energy Group, with three years of experience in the energy industry. New to Camelot, they’ve joined its Advisory team, supporting private-sector clients with a range of technical services. Their background is in asset management, construction, and procurement across distributed and utility-scale solar as well as district energy. Cecilia was previously at an infrastructure fund, where her responsibilities involved the technical and financial asset management of operating projects, oversight of construction timelines, coordination of tax equity funding processes, and the project management of RFP submissions. Prior to this, they also spent time as a product designer and conducted research on the Arawakan language family in South America and syntax in Bardi, an Australian indigenous language. They are excited to continue working in the renewables space with the Camelot team in the greater hope of building more reliable, efficient means to access energy in the near- and long-term future.

In their free time, you can find Cecilia drinking black coffee, strolling around with their cat, reading, trying to line dance, birdwatching, or at the movies. (This year, they're really trying to watch a lot more movies and observe more birds.) Cecilia holds degrees in Cognitive Science and Linguistics from the University of California, Berkeley.
